Hiking in Ratschings - Racines

In the heart of the mountains

Hiking and cycling dreams within reach

Thanks to the unique location in the middle of the Ratschingstal valley, our guests do not have far to go to enjoy hiking, biking, or exploring in the mountains. Varied hiking possibilities start right at the chalet, and bike trails are also close by. Experience the South Tyrolean mountains in all their facets!
Hiking in the Dolomites

A hiking paradise on the doorstep

Located in the middle of the hiking area, many hiking possibilities start from the chalet. Sunrise tours with a hearty mountain breakfast, challenging summit tours with breathtaking views, easy family hikes with a stop at a hut, a barefoot path with a Kneipp cold water therapy by the babbling brook – all this and much more can be experienced here. Hiking backpacks and hiking poles can be rented free of charge.
Hike to the Gilfenklamm gorge

Our adventure tips

We highly recommend a hike through the Gilfenklamm gorge. It’s accessible on foot and roars and bubbles as you walk through the marble gorge towards the waterfall. It’s an experience guests of all ages will love, just like the summer toboggan run at the Rosskopf mountain. Our hiking guide can also take you to the most beautiful spots in the area several times a week!
Biking

A dream for (e-)bikers

The Ratschings mountains are well-known among avid bikers. Easy and enjoyable tours along bike paths are as readily available as action-packed MTB tours in the mountains. Guided mountain bike tours take place twice a week. Bikes for children and adults can be rented free of charge, and e-bikes can be rented for a fee.
